Almost all damage done to a company by an
employee can be prevented; though how simple it
is to prevent it is overlooked by many. A
staggering number of lawsuits every year are
brought forward by plaintiffs with complaints
against employees of companies who they believed
have wronged them, and many of them are awarded
damages by the courts. The easiest way to solve
this problem is to know when and if the people
you hire are a danger to your valued customers.
Conducting a simple check on a persons
background to see whether of not they have
committed a felony can prevent a good percentage
of these potential dangers.
If not so serious as the first kind of danger,
there is also significant financial damage that
can be avoided by knowing a little more about
your employees. An accountant with a felony
embezzlement charge on his record could be
considered a significant threat. Or someone in a
position to handle money found guilty of tax
fraud, the dangers are numerous, but most can be
very easily avoided by checking to see of
they've been convicted of a felony. These checks
are quick, easy and accurate, and there is no
measure to how much they may save your business
in the long run. An ounce of prevention is worth
a pound of cure. In these cases, that old saying
is absolutely true. Compared to what may be at
risk, it truly is an ounce.
